As the fifth installment in the Omchaki Recordings series, techno's rising star Substak comes forward with four deep cuts of minimal, abstracted cuts of dark ambiance and dub techno. Chimes, drones, and plonks collide against the confines of your headphones from the depths of the machine. "Construct" seems like the most likely candidate for the spiritual successor of Substak's great albums "View From The Orbital Module" on Entropy Records and "Beatless" on Recycled Plastics.

After the main course, DeepWarmth comes forward to bring a surprisingly hard driving minimal techno take on "Flo", using the low-end ambiance of the of the original track as a backdrop for a relentless kick drum, finally giving way to his classic melodic pads at the very end. The last track is a Dwn Cx-classic long, deep dive using twisted and contorted elements from all four original tracks to create something new and unexpected.
